Dad
Summer is almost over, and the new school year will be starting. This summer started with the beautiful birth of Ryan. That moment he came out of my belly and into this world will forever be the happiest moment of my life. I never knew I could fall in love with someone so fast.
A few months later my heart broke when I lost Daddy. I recieved a phone call from my Brother that my Dad had been taken to the hospital because he had chest pains. I knew at that moment that it was something very serious, because Dad never went to seek medical help. I arrived at the hospital and immediately heard loud screams coming from the x-ray room. It was my Father suffering from the pain of his Aorta bursting open in his chest. The doctor told me what has happened, and that he most likely only had minutes to get into surgery or his heart wouldn't make it.
They let me see him. I looked into his eyes and watched a tear fall down my Father's cheek. He said "baby don't cry"... I said "Daddy, I love you"-- and He said "I love you too"--- the nurses walked me out of the room.. and that was the last time I would ever see my Father alive. 20 minutes later, I was told "his heart failed"... 3 words I will never forget. I won't ever get that image of my father on the hospital bed with all the tubes in his body out of my head.
He was such a good father to me, we had a closeness that no body could ever understand. He was my rock, my hero, I looked up to everything he said and every word of advice he gave me. I will miss him forever. And I will forever be thankful of the 13 weeks he was able to spend with his Grandson. He told me that Ryan took all of his stress away and made him smile everyday.
God works in funny ways... he gave me a miracle this summer, and took my Father from me. I will keep his memory alive everyday, and never stop missing him. I love you Daddio...

Baby Ryan is HERE!!!
Ryan finally decided to arrive 10 days late on May 20th at 3:50pm. He is absolutely perfect!!! Here are a few photos we took of him during our hospital stay.

39 weeks...
Ryan's arrival is getting very close now... Daddy and I have been "nesting" as they call it and getting everything ready. Mike has even practiced his diapering skills on a stuffed bear and plays with Ryan's toys to make sure they are safe, LOL. The hospital bag is all packed and the camera batteries are charged. Now if we only knew when the baby is planning to come and join our family!
Today we went to Babies R Us to return the stroller we originally registered for. After seeing it outside of the box, it looks too cheesy and flimsy for the coolest baby in the world. So we got the new Jeep Liberty stroller with IPOD adapter speakers. I am attaching a picture of it.
I guess that's all for now, my next post will hopefully be of our little man...

The Nursery...
The Baby's furniture came last night and we finally got to start the nursery! Uncle Mike and Uncle Mike came over to help Daddy put it together :). It looks beautiful, and was MUCH bigger than I anticipated! Now I can't wait to start hanging his shelving up and see the crib with some bedding on it.

29 weeks and counting...
I had an interesting past week or so. I went for my 1-hour glucose test last Tuesday and failed. I was very sad and hoped that I didn't have GD. I went for the follow up to that test- the 3 hour glucose test- which is no fun at all! You have to fast for 8-12 hours and drink more of that yucky stuff anddddd get 4 needles in a 3 hour period. All in all though little baby Ryan is worth every second. The good news is I passed the 3 hour test with flying colors! :)
Yesterday Mike and I finally ordered our crib and dresser/changer combo! Thanks to Aunt Jaime, Uncle Joe, Grandma Mae, and Grandpa Tom for hooking up Ryan with a place to sleep and put his clothes:). It should arrive here within 7-10 days. I can't wait to start getting the baby's room ready for him.
I am posting some pictures of our visit to Nanuet and Jack playing with his cousin for the first time, lol.

Daddy felt the baby kick!
FINALLY, Mike felt the baby kick yesterday. We were watching Juno, very appropriate, and I started to feel Ryan really give some swift kicks so I called Mike over. As soon as he put his hand on my belly he started to feel the baby. Then he started talking to him and Ryan kicked even harder! It was very exciting and I cried like any hormonal pregnant lady should.:)
